The Queensland Government has opened Round 7 of the Queensland Business Growth Fund, offering grants between $50,000 and $75,000 (excl. GST). The fund is designed to help small businesses invest in specialised equipment that can support growth, expansion and capability building.
This fund is well suited to businesses that are ready for their next step. Investing in the right equipment can lift productivity, improve capacity and help create new jobs. It also gives businesses a chance to explore automation, expand their markets or move into export activity.
The Queensland Business Growth Fund offers funding in three milestone payments. Applicants need to contribute at least half of the total project cost.
To be eligible, businesses must be Queensland based with an active ABN, be registered for GST and have their headquarters in Queensland. They must have fewer than 20 employees, a turnover between $0.5M and $10M in the 2024 to 2025 financial year and a trading history of at least three years. Eligible businesses also need to show clear recent growth and potential for further expansion.
The application process begins with a registration of interest, which is due by 5.00 pm on 30 January 2026. Applicants will need to explain how their proposed equipment will support growth, increase productivity, introduce innovation or lead to new jobs. If the registration is successful, businesses will then be invited to submit a full application.
